Beyond Blue announced as Akyra’s Charity Partner for 2022

Earlier this year, Akyra Strategy & Development (Akyra) made the decision that, as a company, 1% of its income would be donated to a charity partner.

To decide who that charity was going to be in 2022, Managing Director Margaret Goody believed it was important the decision was made by the whole team.

“Akyra works as a team to support our clients, and it’s only fitting we would work together as a team to make this decision.

“The charity we selected had to resonate with our whole team, including both our Queensland and Victoria offices,” explains Margaret.

Beyond Blue has been nominated as Akyra’s 2022 Charity Partner, and 1% of the company’s monthly turnover is donated their 24/7 Support Service that provides counselling, information, advice and referrals to assist people experiencing anxiety, depression and those at increased risk of suicide.

Margaret explains there were several reasons the Akyra team chose Beyond Blue over all the other worthwhile charities.  

“Beyond Blue provides such a diverse range of support services to so many in-need members of our community, especially those suffering from mental health issues.

“Our team is passionate about mental health as we see first-hand every day how these issues can impact both an individual’s home life and their performance / behavior at work.

“This has been particularly true in recent years with COVID and the impacts it’s had on the mental health of people all over Australia.

“Choosing Beyond Blue was a natural fit and we are pleased to partner with their team in 2022”.

Currently, there are three million people in Australia living with anxiety and depression. Every dollar raised for Beyond Blue makes an impact and assists the organisation to achieve its vision of every person in Australia achieving their best possible mental health.
