Announcing Akyra’s 2023 Charity of Choice

Beyond Blue

Last year, our team selected Beyond Blue as our 2022 charity of choice, with 1% of our monthly turnover donated to their 24/7 Support Service that provides counselling, information, advice and referrals to assist people experiencing anxiety, depression and those at increased risk of suicide.

Currently, there are three million people in Australia living with anxiety and depression. Every dollar raised for Beyond Blue makes an impact and assists the organisation to achieve its vision of every person in Australia achieving their best possible mental health

At the beginning of 2022, we set a goal to raise over $5,000 for Beyond Blue, through our monthly donations and other fundraising initiatives.

We are incredibly proud to announce that we not only reached our target, but exceeded it – donating a total of $6,173! 

Redcliffe Breakfast Club

We are now incredibly excited to announce that this year, our team has chosen Redcliffe Breakfast Club as our 2023 charity of choice.

The Redcliffe Breakfast Club was established in 2003 and has been running successfully since then with an amazing team of mostly volunteers and is totally community driven.

Currently serving in excess of 1000 meals a month, guests come from those who are homeless as well as those who are on low or fixed incomes and struggling to make their money stretch, even for the basics.

Funds raised through donations and fundraising go towards the purchase of food and supplies to assist those in need and to cover running costs like fuel and insurance.

Akyra strongly praises the incredible work being done by the Redcliffe Breakfast Club, and we are very proud to support this wonderful organisation as our 2023 charity of choice.

This means Akyra will donate 1% of our monthly turnover and conduct other fundraising efforts throughout the year to support the Redcliffe Breakfast Club and their important work.
